  • Notice to Residents and Property Owners Regarding Noxious Weeds

    NOTICE is hereby given to all persons in possession of any land or a lot in a registered plan of subdivision or on any lot not exceeding ten acres, in accordance with the Weed Control Act, Statutes of Ontario, 1990, Chapter W.5, Section 3, 13, 16, 18 and 23, that unless noxious weeds growing on their lands within the municipalities listed below are destroyed by June 14, 2024 and throughout the season, the municipality may then enter upon the said lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the costs against the land as set out in the Act.

  • Appeal Hearing Notice OTC-24-001

  • 2024 Municipal Assistance Applications OPEN

    Community groups may now apply for their 2024 Municipal Assistance Requests. 

    Please visit the Municipal Assistance page for information and the link to the application form. 

    Timelines for 2024 are: 

    • Applications due April 30, 2024 - Considered by Council May 16th 
    • Applications due May 31, 2024 - Considered by Council June 20th 

    No other requests will be considered past these deadlines.

  • Curbside Bulk Pick Up Registration OPEN

    The registration form to register for the Curbside Bulk Garbage Program is now LIVE. Please visit the Garbage & Recycling Page and go to Curbside Bulk Garbage Collection and click Register Here at the bottom. 

    Remember - only those who complete the registration form and provide payment by the deadline will be included on the list. 

  • No Tree Program for 2024

    There will not be a tree program this year. We hope to be able to offer this again in 2025!

  • Update on Programs

    UPDATES! 

    Curbside Garbage Pick Up Program - dates for April, May and July have been released. The online registration form will be made available to register soon. Keep an eye on our Garbage & Recycling page for when the form is live. 

    Tree Program - Council has not yet set the 2024 Operating Budget so direction has not been provided if this program will take place in 2024. We anticipate to have more information on this in March. No applications are available for this at the moment - stay tuned! 

  • Flood Warning Statement Terminated

    Jan 25, 2024: The Long Point Region Conservation Authority (LPRCA) has issued a Flood Outlook Statement. 

    Jan 26, 2024: LPRCA has issued a Flood Watch Statement 

    Jan 26, 2024: LPRCA has issued a Flood Warning Statement

    Jan 29, 2024: LPRCA has issued a Water Safety Statement which terminates the Flood Warning. 

  • Sodium in drinking water in Richmond Community Drinking Water System

    Southwestern Public Health issued a health advisory for the Richmond municipal water drinking supply in regards to the sodium levels. View further details in the Notice
