  • Elgin County OPP Citizen’s Police Academy 2025!

    If you’ve have ever thought about a career in policing or have wanted to learn more about their operations, Elgin County OPP have an opportunity for you!

    Residents are invited to apply to the Elgin County OPP Citizens’ Police Academy, for 9 Free Info Sessions, scheduled for Thursday nights from 7pm – 9pm, starting March 20th to May 15th, 2025, located at the Malahide Community Place, at 12105 Whittaker Rd, Springfield, ON

    Presentations from various Specialty Units of the OPP, such as, Forensics, Canine, Major Crime, and more!

    Pick up & submit an application at the St Thomas OPP Detachment, located at 42696 John Wise Line, St Thomas, ON.

  • Temporary Road Closure Advisory - Sandytown Rd

    Please be advised that Sandytown Rd is closed between 8525 and 9238, due to a soft road base. Local and emergency vehicles can access 8525 from Heritage Line and 9238 from Maple Grove Line.

  • T:GO Inter-Community Transit

    The Town of Tillsonburg recently announced that inter-community bus service from Tillsonburg to area municipalities, including Bayham, will cease effective April 1, 2025 due to a lack of funding.

    T:GO routes within the Town of Tillsonburg are not affected by the change and will continue.

  • Automated Phone System for the Bayham Office

    Please be advised that beginning Monday, March 3, 2025, an automated phone system will be initiated for incoming calls to the Bayham Office. This system will help guide inquiries in a more efficient manner while still offering the ability to contact general reception.  These are the following prompts you can expect: 

    Press 1 for Finance and Billing

    Press 2 for Planning and Development

    Press 3 for Building

    Press 4 for By-law Enforcement

    Press 5 for Public Works and Drainage

    Press 6 for Water and Wastewater

    Press 7 for Fire and Emergency Services

    Press 8 for Clerk Services

    Press 0 for all other inquiries

  • Stop up, close and convey a portion of Fourth Street

  • Grants Secured for the Fire Department

    The following grants have recently been secured for Bayham’s Fire Department: 

    1. Fire Protection Grant in the amount of $16, 460.90 (view report CAO-01/25 on the January 16, 2025 Council agenda for further details)

    2. Community Emergency Preparedness Grant in the amount of $50,000.00 (view report CAO-10/25 on the February 6, 2025 Council agenda for further details)
